What this platform is

PsyConnect connects people looking for therapy with independently licensed therapists. We are not a clinic and we do not employ therapists.

The therapeutic relationship is between you and your therapist. Clinical responsibility sits with them, and they are accountable to their own professional body.

We are not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number.

Accounts

You must be 18 or over to hold an account. Sessions for under-18s are booked by a parent or guardian.

Keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account.

We may suspend an account for abuse, fraud, or behaviour that puts a therapist or another client at risk.

Bookings and payment

You pay the rate published on the therapist’s profile. We add nothing on top.

Payment is taken when you book, which is what holds the slot.

Each therapist sets their own cancellation notice period, shown on their profile and again at checkout. Cancel outside it and you are refunded automatically. Cancel inside it and the session is charged.

If a therapist cancels, you are refunded in full regardless of notice.

Reviews

Only a completed booking unlocks the ability to review. Reviews must describe your own experience.

We remove reviews containing clinical detail about third parties, abuse, or anything defamatory. We do not remove reviews for being critical.

Therapists may respond publicly. They cannot delete reviews.

For therapists

You must hold current registration with a recognised professional body and provide evidence of it. A lapsed registration suspends your profile.

You set your own rates, hours and methods. We take a flat commission on completed sessions, stated on the pricing page.

You are responsible for your own insurance, supervision, record-keeping and compliance with the rules of your professional body.

Liability

We provide the platform. We do not provide therapy, and we are not liable for the clinical outcome of any session.

We verify credentials carefully but cannot guarantee any particular result from therapy. Nobody honestly can.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We will give notice by email before any material change to these terms takes effect. Continuing to use the platform afterwards means you accept the revised version.
