Privacy Policy

How PsyConnect handles your data, who can see what, and the boundaries we do not cross.

What we collect

Account details you give us: name, email, password (stored only as a hash), timezone, and optionally a phone number and photograph.

Booking records: who you booked, when, the amount paid and the status of the session. These are financial and contractual records and we keep them even after an account is closed.

Anything you write into a booking note or a review.

Technical data every website receives: IP address, browser and the pages requested, used for security and to keep the service running.

What we never see

Card details. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe; card numbers never reach our servers.

Session content. What is discussed in a session stays between you and your therapist. Clinical notes belong to them and are not visible to us in any product view.

Who can see what

Your therapist sees your name, contact details, booking history with them, and any notes you chose to share.

If your employer funds your sessions, they see aggregate numbers only — how many sessions were used across the organisation. They never see who booked, with whom, or what was discussed. There is no view, export or report in the product that would reveal it.

Reviews you publish show your first name, or "Anonymous" if you chose that. The rating counts either way.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are retained for the period our tax and accounting obligations require, typically six to seven years.

If you delete your account, your profile is anonymised immediately: name, email, phone and photograph are removed and you disappear from the product. The underlying financial records survive in anonymised form because we are legally required to keep them.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deletion is subject to the retention obligations above.

You can withdraw marketing consent at any time from your settings or from any email we send. That is separate from transactional emails about your bookings, which you will continue to receive while you have upcoming sessions.
