Finding a therapist should not be the hardest part
Deciding to get help is difficult enough. What follows — the outdated directories, the unanswered emails, the six-week waits, the rates nobody publishes — should not be.
PsyConnect exists because the gap between deciding to get help and actually sitting down with someone is far too wide. It is measured in weeks, and a lot of people give up inside it.
So we built the thing we wanted to exist: a directory where every credential has been checked, every rate is published, every calendar is real, and every review comes from someone who actually attended.
What we insist on
Verification is not optional. No profile appears in search until we have confirmed the licence number against the relevant register and seen the qualifications. If a registration lapses, the profile comes down.
Prices are visible before you commit. Nothing is hidden behind an enquiry form. We add nothing to what the therapist charges.
Reviews cannot be bought. Only a completed booking unlocks the ability to leave one. Therapists can respond publicly, and cannot delete what they would rather not see.
Employers see numbers, never people. Company accounts get utilisation figures. They do not get names, therapists or notes — and the per-person view does not exist to be requested.
What we are not
We are not a clinic and we do not employ therapists. We do not provide crisis support, and we are not an emergency service — if you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number.
We also do not match you with an algorithm. Fit predicts outcomes more reliably than credentials do, and you are better placed to judge it than any model we could build. We give you what you need to choose; the choosing stays with you.
Have a look around
Browsing costs nothing and needs no account. Filter by what is actually going on and see who comes up.
